The day begins at 8:30 a.m. with departure on a specially equipped boat with a sundeck, glass bottom, and snorkeling gear.
The first stop is the Watamu Marine Park, where you can snorkel among a myriad of colorful fish and coral. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, especially from November to March.
The journey continues to Mida Creek, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed mangrove ecosystem.
Here, you’ll dock at Waka Waka Island for a sumptuous lunch of fresh fish, lobster, grilled shrimp, coconut rice with octopus sauce, and drinks.
The local Giriama people, who inhabit the island, will entertain you with a traditional dance performance and invite you to join in.
After this cultural experience, you’ll return to your resort.
